BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's soccer team saw two of its members earn Third Team All-Heartland Conference for their work on the pitch in 2025. Sophomores Brysan Brewer (Middletown) and Brooklyn Pfeiffer (Delaware/Buckeye Valley) found themselves on the third team podium for All-HCAC.
A smooth forward out of Middletown, Brewer started in all 18 matches with a massive uptick in total points, finishing with 19 after recording four during her freshman campaign. She would have the same 50 percent mark on shots on goal from her first year, firing 24-of-48 shots on goal in 2025 after going 16-of-32 in shots on frame last season.
With 48 total shots this season, Brewer finished second in the Heartland and she also made the top 10 in total goals with six. Brewer come out in the number three spot in the conference for total assists. Her seven helpers moved Brewer into a tie with Katie Kantner for the most Bluffton assists in a single season! Her 19 points were also good enough for fifth in all the HCAC.
Defensively, the Beavers were led by Brooklyn Pfeiffer in the backfield, as the sophomore would help contribute to Bluffton shutting out opposing teams six times this season, which is the most the program has had in a single season since 2011.
Pfeiffer would start in all 17 games that she competed in this season and accounted for 1,222 minutes played in 2025.
With help from the two sophomores, Bluffton finished off the season with a record of 7-11 overall and 2-7 in conference play. The team has shown a lot of promise, scoring seven more goals this season than it did in 2024, and will look to bring back many familiar faces in 2026!
