RICHMOND, Ind. - The Bluffton University women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision at Earlham on a sunny Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2025. Bluffton fell to 5-7 overall and 0-3 in the Heartland, while the Quakers improved to 3-8 and 2-1 in the HCAC.
Sophomore Brysan Brewer (Middletown) got the Beavers on the board with her fifth tally of the season in minute 17. Earlham answered back with a first-half equalizer and then they converted just over 11 minutes into the second frame on the way to a 2-1 victory.
The home team finished with a 12-11 edge in total shots and a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks. Both teams were whistled for six fouls. Bluffton put 10 of its 11 shots on frame.
Brewer and Kelsie Gladieux (Northwood/Lake) paced the Beavers with three shots apiece, all on target. Freshman keeper Madison Kutscher (Rossford) turned away six Quaker shots on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bluffton women will be back at home as part of a double feature on Saturday, Oct. 11, when Hanover College comes to the Sears Complex. The Beaver women kick off at 1 p.m. with the men to follow at 3:30 p.m.
