SELLERSBURG, Ind. - The Bluffton University women's golf team had a solid Sunday, May 12, en route to a best-ever 4th place finish at the Heartland Conference Championship. The Beavers fired a 980 at the Hidden Creek Golf Club, shattering the previous school mark by a whopping 85 strokes!
Junior Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Bradley) went 76 and 77 the final two days on the way to school-record 241 for the tournament! She just missed out on All-HCAC honors, placing 11th as in individual. The 2023-24 squad finished with four of the top five 54-hole scores in school history.
Freshman Jordan Hemmelgarn (Coldwater) had an outstanding weekend, carding a 243 which was tied for 15th at the HCAC Championship. It also moved her to 3rd all-time for 54 holes at Bluffton.
Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Louden) and Hope Manning (South Charleston/Southeastern) tied for 18th overall with three-day scores of 248 and they both cracked the top 5 all-time for 54 holes.
Gabby Green (Beavercreek/Carroll) capped off her first year in style, shooting a career-best 91 on Sunday which gave the freshman a 283 for the tournament.
