ANDERSON, Ind. - The Bluffton University men's golf team took six strokes off its Friday score with a 327 on Saturday, April 26, finishing 7th with a 36-hole tally of 660 at the Anderson University Spring Invitational.
Freshman Drake Sommer (Montpelier) shot a team-low 77 on Saturday, tying Carson Brubaker (Shelby) for Bluffton's best two-day score at Anderson with a 160. Junior Noah Macke (Columbus Grove) and senior Brayden Tosi (Springfield/Kenton Ridge) both checked in with scores of 166 for the weekend.
AJ Gerber (Vermilion) and Jack Wyant (Mansfield/Lexington) continued the trend of duplicates as the two freshmen both carded 36-hole scores of 171, flip-flopping their rounds of 84 and 87.
The women will take center stage next weekend before the men cap off their 2024-25 slate with the Heartland Conference Championships at Forest Hills Country Club in Richmond, Indiana, from Friday, May 9 through Sunday, May 11.
