ADA, Ohio - The Blufton University volleyball team fell at Ohio Northern in straight sets on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025. The Polar Beavers improved to 4-3 on the season, while Bluffton slipped to 5-5.

An Emma Organ (Lambertville, MI/St. Ursula Academy) ace knotted the first set at 11, but the home team scored 14 of the next 19 points for a 25-16 victory in the lidlifter. ONU continued to hammer away, rolling to 25-11 and 25-16 wins in the next two sets for a quick 3-0 victory in the King Horn Center.

Sophomore Madison Brentlinger (Indian Lake) led the Bluffton attack with seven kills, while Jenna Woods (DeGraff/Riverside) and and Kasey Sager (Troy) added five winners apiece. Paige Massie (Alvada/Arcadia) hit .500 with four kills and no errors on eight attacks.

Senior Gabby Williams (West Liberty/West Liberty-Salem) handed out 19 assists. Brentlinger and Saniyah Terry (Macomb, MI/L Anse Creuse HS North) picked up seven digs apiece, while Organ tallied six digs.

Bluffton will travel to the College of Wooster for matches with Westminster and Hiram on Friday with match one at 3 p.m.
