The Bluffton University swimming and diving team traveled back to Malone University for the Mid-Season Meet invite in Canton from November 20-22. The swim team had a very successful meet, achieving many seasonal and personal bests, breaking records, and producing many finalists.

Jami Baker (Lowell, Ind.) had a spectacular mid-season meet. She qualified for the 100 breast finals (1:13.24, 1:13.16), just shy of a half second off of her personal best time set at the 2025 HCAC Championships. That puts her time 4th all-time in the record books! Likewise, in the 200 breaststroke Baker qualified for finals (2:47.75), and then followed it up with a 5-second time drop in finals (2:42.61). This is Baker's fastest time for the season and only one second off of her personal record from last season's HCAC Championships. That puts her at 5th all-time. She swam the 200 IM and got a time of 2:27.97, making her 4th all-time in the record books.

Juliana Brooks (Canton/McKinley) had an outstanding meet. She competed in the 100 back, getting a seasonal best of 1:21.47, 50 free (32.12), with another seasonal best, and the 100 free, snatching another seasonal best of 1:12.59!

Sydney Grisier (Bryan) had amazing performances at the meet. She competed in the 200 IM, getting a time of 3:05.13, and swam the 500 free with a time of 7:37.22. Grisier competed in the 1650 free, swimming a time of 26:01.01, which makes her 3rd all-time in the record books! Grisier also competed in the one-meter (11 dives) diving finals with a score of 199.15.

On the men's side, Landon Gardner (Whitehall, Mich.) dominated at the Malone Invitational. He competed in the 50 free, getting a time of 24.72, which is also a seasonal best. Gardner set school records in prelims of the 100 breast (1:10.33), 200 IM (2:29.18), and the 200 breast (2:41.22). Then he turned around and dropped an additional two seconds in finals to rebreak his own 200 breast record (2:39.19)! All these times were personal bests for the sophomore.

Bluffton sets off to their next meet in the year 2026 on January 10 when the Beavers head to Berea for matchups with Baldwin Wallace and Heidelberg. Go Beavers!
