LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Bluffton University women's golf team opened round one of the 2025 Heartland Conference Championship with a 353 on Friday, May 2, 2025. The Beavers stand 4th after the opening round, two strokes ahead of Hanover College.

The rough wreaked havoc on the Bluffton women as senior Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Louden) finished with a team-best 84 on Friday. Two strokes back of her was sophomore Hope Manning (South Charleston/Southeastern) who shot an 86.

Senior Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Bradley) and Jordan Hemmelgarn (Coldwater) went 91 and 92, respectively, while Alyssa Begoon (New Madison/Tri-Village) ronded out the Bluffton five with a 96 on day one.

Round number two from the Kearney Hill Golf Club will tee off at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, as the Beavers look to claw their way back into championship contention!
