TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Bluffton Beavers would find themselves on the wrong side of a 3-0 shutout against the Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers, as they would fall to 6-9-1, and move to 4-4 in conference play. Bluffton now sits tied for fourth in the conference with the Fightin Engineers and the Anderson Ravens at 12 conference points.
Rose-Hulman would get the scoring started just five minutes into the contest, after successfully knocking home a goal off a penalty kick to go up 1-0. They would hold that one goal lead until the 37th minute when they added another score, going up 2-0 heading into the half. The Beavers struggled to find any momentum on offense, and with 17 minutes left to play, the Fightin' Engineers would add their third goal of the day, as they cruised to a 3-0 victory over Bluffton.
It would be all Rose-Hulman, as the hosts would outshoot the Beavers 19-7, with a 7-4 edge in shots on frame. Collin Scheid (Lima, Ohio / Shawnee) would take a team-high three shots in the outing, with Jaden Ngufor (London, Ont. Canada) right behind him with two, both of which were on goal.
Bluffton will look to close out the regular season on Wednesday, Oct 29 when they host Mount St. Joseph at 3 p.m. Come out and support your Beavers.
