BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton Beavers recognized their four seniors on Senior Day and Alumni Day as they faced off against the Franklin College Grizzlies on Alumni Field. Seniors Breshon Jacobs (Rushylvania/Benjamin Logan), Alex Brown (Delaware/Buckeye Valley), Andrew Phillips (Westfield, IN), and Leonardo Campos (Santiago, Chile/Campbellsville University) would each walk the field as they were honored for their contribution to the Bluffton soccer program over their careers.

In a game featuring wind and rain, the Beavers got right down to business, scoring two goals in the first half before a second half goal would put them up 3-0 en route to a 3-0 victory. With the win, Bluffton improved to 5-8-1 on their 2025 campaign, with a 3-3 mark in the conference. Franklin fell to 2-12 on the season while dropping to 1-5 in the HCAC.

After twenty seven minutes of scoreless action, Nick Meyer (Lewisburg/Tri-County North) broke the ice off a header pass from Jaden Ngufor (London, Ont. Canada/FC London) as the Beavers took a 1-0 lead. They wouldn't be done as eight minutes later, Alex Brown fired a low shot that got past the Franklin goalie and into the back of the net.

Bluffton would continue to be a force on offense while also being strong in the backfield, and with just under 25 minutes left to play, Jaden Ngufor would hit Leonardo Campos with a beautiful pass, and the senior fired a strike with his right foot and into the Franklin goal, increasing the lead to 3-0 which held up as the final score.

The hosts finished with a strong advantage in total shots and shots on goal, posting a 24-11 mark in total shots and 13-2 in frame. In one of his final games on a Beaver field, Leonardo Campos got it done with both a goal and an assist, and both of his shots were on goal. Nick Meyer and Alex Brown both hit paydirt, with Josh Gleek (New Albany/Lincoln) and Jaden Ngufor doling out two assists apiece.

Bluffton will look to carry the momentum from this win into their next contest on the road when they travel to Manchester University to face off against the Spartans on Wednesday, Oct. 22, for a 7:30 start.
