HARRISON, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's golf team shot a solid 326 on day one of the Stateline Shootout on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025. The Beavers stand 12th in a talented field that includes some of the top squads in the Heartland Conference.

Freshman Drake Sommer (Montpelier) fired a team-best 76 on the strength of an even-par 36 over the final nine holes. Aaron Gerber (Vermilion) chipped in with an 82, while Matt Owen (Lima/Shawnee) and Carson Brubaker (Shelby) both clocked 84's on Saturday. Jackson Eichler (Atwater/Waterloo) rounded out the squad with an 86 for the first 18 holes.

Bluffton is back at Miami Whitewater Forest Golf Club on Sunday, when the Beavers play their final round of September. The Stateline Shootout is set to tee off at 7:30 a.m.
