Macke fires a 78 at the Earlham Spring Invite

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Bluffton University men's golf team opened the Earlham College Spring Invitational with a 329 on Good Friday, April 18, 2025. The Beavers stand 5tha dn they are nipping at the heels of second place Anderson University as four HCAC squads are separated by just 10 strokes.

Junior Noah Macke (Columbus Grove) came out firing one week after missing the cut for the IU Kokomo Invitational. He led the way with a sparkling 78, good for 6th place after 18 holes. Senior Brayden Tosi (Springfield/Kenton Ridge) was three stokes back with an 81, while freshman Jack Wyant (Mansfield/Lexington) chipped in with an 83.

Aaron Gerber (Vermilion) shot 85 in a round that included an eagle on hole seven, a 523 yard par 5! Fellow freshmen Gavin Ferguson (Burbank/Norwayne) and Drake Sommer (Montpelier) carded a pair of 87's on Friday.

Bluffton is back in action on Saturday, April 19 for round two from the Richmond Elks Country Club.
