RICHMOND, Ind. - The Bluffton University men's golf team wrapped up the HCAC Preview with a 340 after shooting a 341 on Saturday. The Beavers finished 8th with a 681 for the weekend.

Drake Sommer (Montpelier) led the way with a 78 in round two, giving him a 169 for the tournament, one stroke behind fellow freshman Aaron Gerber (Vermilion) who went 85-83 for a 168. Gavin Ferguson (Burbank/Norwayne) and Jack Wyant (Mansfield/Lexington) both finished the weekend with identical 36-hole scores of 175.

Returners Noah Macke (Columbus Grove) and Carson Brubaker (Shelby) shot 176 and 178, respectively. Jackson Eichler (Atwater/Waterloo) finished the tournament with a 183.

Bluffton is back in action on Sunday, Sept. 22, when both the men and women head to Meadville, Pa., for the Allegheny College Invitational.
